Welcoming Critically Acclaimed Montreal Post-Punks, Ought to Our Roster

We are very pleased to announce the addition of the Montreal-based quartet Ought to our roster.

Ought combines an exciting, raw energy with sharp exactness resulting in its own brand of critically acclaimed post-punk. Through referencing early indie rock and embracing dirty no wave style production, the band has garnered comparisons to Talking Heads, Sonic Youth, Television and many more. The tight, understated rhythm section of drummer Tim Keen and bassist Ben Stidworthy paired with Matt May’s fuzzy keys come together with Tim Darcy’s angular electric guitar and unique voice. Darcy’s poetic prowess and employment of zeitgeist-capturing, ironic delivery have helped thrust Ought onto a boundless trajectory.
