We are very proud to announce the additions of Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and Psychic TV to our artist roster.

Genesis Breyer P-Orridge is a legendary English singer-songwriter, musician, poet, performance, and visual artist. Genesis rose to notability for founding the COUM Transmissions art collective in 1969, the pioneering industrial group Throbbing Gristle in 1975, and the experimental multimedia commonage Psychic TV. In 1996, Genesis P-Orridge and her partner Jackie “Lady Jaye” Breyer P-Orridge embarked on the Pandrogyne Project, in which the two underwent physical alterations in order to unite as a single being. Genesis Breyer P-Orridge’s visual works have been displayed in hundreds of international exhibitions over the past 46 years, recently culminating in retrospectives at the Andy Warhol Museum and the Rubin Museum of Art.

Psychic TV, founded in 1981, is known for its intense, visceral live performances and innovative and provocative music that blends elements of psychedelia, dance, and industrial sounds. Up until the mid 90’s, Psychic TV recorded and released numerous live and studio albums, to the extent that the group was included in the Guinness Book Of Records for releasing more albums in one year than any other artist. Psychic TV was disbanded in the mid 90’s as Genesis pursued further artistic avenues. A close friendship with artist and percussionist Edley ODowd sparked P-Orridge to reactivate Psychic TV as a recording and performing entity in 2003. The ensemble, led by both of them, will release their new LP entitled “Alienist” via their self-run Angry Love Productions label in September 2016.

In addition to live performances with Psychic TV, P-Orridge currently performs solo, speaks at various arts and educational institutions, and performs in various configurations including he/r spoken word moniker, Thee Majesty. Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and Edley ODowd also DJ under the moniker “Granny Takes Another Trip,” going song-for-song with their favorite deep cuts from the 60s and 70s.
