Ground Control Touring Welcomes Katie Von Schleicher

Ground Control Touring proudly welcomes Katie Von Schleicher to our artist roster.

Katie is a songwriter hailing from the suburbs of Baltimore, MD. In 2015, she held an internship at Brooklyn label, Ba Da Bing Records, which led to her becoming an artist on that same label with her record, Bleaksploitation. In Ba Da Bing, Katie found a label known for debuting young, transcendent artists such as Sharon Van Etten, Beirut and Lady Lamb the Beekeeper. In 2017, Katie released her followup record, Shitty Hits, which has received critical acclaim from publications such as NPR and Pitchfork. It is an album The Guardian describes as “Portishead meets the Beatles” and NPR’s Bob Boilen calls “one of those constant repeat records for me.

Since the release of Shitty Hits, Katie has been on the road with Aldous Harding, Big Thief, and The Districts. She will be touring throughout the upcoming year in support of her new record. See all upcoming dates via her artist page.
