Ground Control Touring is hiring a part-time (20 hrs / week) Marketing Coordinator, to be based in either our Los Angeles or Brooklyn office.

Ground Control Touring is a booking agency with offices in Brooklyn, NY and Los Angeles, CA. We represent a diverse roster of acts that includes Big Thief, Belle & Sebastian, Ani DiFranco, Conor Oberst, Deafheaven, Jenny Lewis, Japanese Breakfast, Angel Olsen, Whitney and many others.

The Marketing Coordinator will perform a wide variety of duties in support of our artists’ tour marketing and agency brand messaging. The ideal candidate is someone who is professional and personable, able to multitask effectively (while prioritizing time-sensitive projects), attentive to details both large and small, and has a familiarity with our roster.

Duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:
• Develop and implement tour marketing and advertising campaigns
• Work with creative stakeholders, including client teams, to craft cohesive artist messaging and assets
• Create and maintains relationships with partners for presale promotions
• Manage assets for tour announcements
• Review and adjust advertising plans
• Track sales data
• Develop agency brand messaging across all channels, to include scheduling of announcements and broadcasting client news items on agency website, social media, and to relevant outlets
• Distribute press releases and manages publicity for key agency events and company developments when needed

Applicants should possess the following skills/experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing or related field
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• 2-3 years working experience in digital marketing, ideally in a booking or live entertainment setting
• Demonstrable experience leading and managing social media advertising campaigns and crafting digital campaigns that engage and inform music fans
• Ability to identify target audiences and adjust targeting as needed
• Demonstrated fluency in Google AdWords, Facebook Ads and other marketing analytics tools
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, and a passion for accuracy
