Releases by Ground Control Touring artists were honored on many Year-End lists. Here’s a quick rundown:
Wavves’ King of the Beach, Titus Andronicus’ The Monitor and Superchunk’s Majesty Shredding all had best album mentions in SPIN . Rolling Stone named Superchunk’s amongst its 30 best albums of 2010 as well as Wavves’ “Post Acid” as one of this year’s best songs .
“Scissor Runner” from Jenny and Johnny’s debut record I’m Having Fun Now won best song recognition from Rolling Stone as well.
Paste Magazine awarded Justin Townes Earle’s soulful “Harlem River Blues” and Titus Andronicus’ anthemic “A More Perfect Union” best song mentions .
Also, we’re very proud and honored that Pitchfork named no less than seven of our bands as part of their top 50 albums of 2010! Wavves (#50), Wild Nothing (#49), Women (#47), Abe Vigoda (#40), Zola Jesus (#37), Woods (#31), and Titus Andronicus (#10). Check out the whole article here
