Ground Control Touring

Mac McCaughan performs and releases records both with Superchunk and the solo project Portastatic and performs songs from both bands at his solo appearances. Superchunk’s most recent release was 2010’s critically acclaimed Majesty Shredding while Portastatic released Some Small History a compilation of rarities, b-sides and previously unreleased materials in 2008. Mac is also the co-founder of Durham, NC independent record label Merge Records and co-author of Our Noise: the Story of Merge Records.
